That is the whole point of the program: eventual ownership, not a permanent monthly bill to a solar company.

No. There is no lien filed against your property with this program. Many homeowners have been burned by solar arrangements that attach to the home's title and complicate a future sale. This is not that.

No credit check is required to see if your home qualifies. Qualification is based on your home and your PG&E usage, not your credit score.

If you choose to finance the upfront cost instead of paying it in one payment, financing is available through Travis Credit Union, and that is a separate, optional step you control.

The agreement is transferable to the new homeowner. Because there is no lien on the property, it does not become a roadblock in your sale. The buyer simply steps into the same arrangement, or you settle it as part of the transaction {{TODO: confirm exact transfer terms with Kurt}}.

A lot of homeowners believe solar stopped making sense when the 30% federal residential tax credit ended on December 31, 2025. That credit is gone, and we will never pitch you on it.

But PG&E rates did not go away. This program is built for exactly this moment: you pay for solar once, then carry little-to-no ongoing electric cost, and you own the system at year 6. The math that matters is your PG&E bill, and that pressure is still very real.
